Hey, thanks for popping round.
I’m lying on the floor, because I’ve spent an hour or so tidying up all the papers amassed over five months, doing what feels like a PhD on how to build a movement and lead it to great things.
In particular, I’ve been looking at the many lessons we can learn from the marketing, advertising and sales businesses.
Not businesses I’ve spent much time thinking about for a while, but I did spend a couple of years in sales and marketing before I started as a journalist.
I’ve since learned a ton of stuff about how to use technology.
Like email lists: so that you don’t spam everybody, but also don’t neglect them.
And how to use Facebook ads, and Google analytics, and more…
It’s taken me a long time.
Which is why I’m lying down, instead of standing, and being all upbeat and shiny like the big American sales guys I’ve been watching, who can talk your head off.
