John-Paul Flintoff: coaching 2

John-Paul Flintoff

Coaching

As your coach, I’m a bit unusual: I’m an author, an artist and a performer.

But if that sounds flaky, you should also know this: I worked for 15 years as a writer and senior editor for The Financial Times, The Sunday Times and The Guardian.

I went one-to-one with some of the most impressive figures of our time: financiers, heads of state, captains of industry.

Here’s one. Recognise him? You don’t get anywhere near people like him unless the editor trusts you.

But you’re not here today to find out about them, or about me. You are looking for a solution. To a very specific problem.

In the course of my unusual career, I’ve learned a lot. And I’m devoted to sharing that.

How to change the world

How to think like an entrepreneur

How to find a job you love

How to be more creative

How to have better conversations

…and much more.

Even at the top of your industry, you can find productive opportunities for improvement, and I’m proud to work with people and businesses hungry to do that.

Together we can look at your whole business, your board, your teams and your customers, and explore ways to push through your limits to become the best you can possibly be.

Again and again, clients tell me that their investment in coaching has paid for itself several times over. To find out more, get in touch.

“You took the talk somewhere I had not expected. As a CEO, people don’t challenge me directly, but you pushed and challenged me in a way I’ve not had for years. I’ve learned a lot” – Grahame, CEO

“I can’t believe the impact of a one-hour conversation” – Janet, project manager

“Every time I am stuck or need another perspective this is where I turn. What I love about John-Paul is that he is not solely a coach but someone who achieves so much in other pursuits but, having seen the enormous value of coaching, decided to become one as well. He brings a wealth of real world experience and his listening and questioning skills, perhaps as a result of years as a journalist, are of particular value. I cannot recommend him more highly.” – Hugh, entrepreneur

“JP is outstanding in his approach to coaching, and the outcomes we created through our conversations were breathtaking. I wholeheartedly recommend anyone to take the time and invest in the possibly of wonderful learning and life-changing outcomes. 100% brilliant and often entertaining too. Thanks JP!” Chrissy, creative director and entrepreneur

“I thought, maybe we can make a bit of headway and you, like, ballooned it and it was, wow, what have we got? You have some kind of magic there” – Liz, entrepreneur

You challenge my way of thinking. I have a lot of realisations when I’m with you. It’s like dominoes knocking each other over” – Satnam, startup CEO

“You ask questions so I can work out my own answers. And I like that you’ve been able to say something tough, when everyone else has been ‘nice’” – Ralph, finance

“You’ve done just what I wanted, which was to get things moving forward. You’ve been surprisingly challenging” – Emma, small-business owner

“I like the probing questions. You ‘lance the psychic boil’, and keep me moving forward” – M (male), clinical lead consultant, London hospital

“You coached me out of a hopeless rut in my life. The big thing was to teach me to value delight over duty. That liberated me so much “ – Sophie, entrepreneur

“I was baffled and amazed by what you highlighted for me. As someone interested in non-verbal communication, who has practised walking proudly into a room, I didn’t realise how excruciatingly ‘low confidence’ I was when I talk about my work” – Lorna, media

Coaching 3

What brought you to this page? What are you looking for – modest change, or something bigger? Do you even know? Please, take a moment to think before reading on.

Since I started to think systematically about how change happens, I have stopped doing things I was not enjoying, and started to work on projects that I really care about instead. As a result, my income has not fallen but gone up. I believe that anybody can do this.

If you are looking to change – to move forward, and get results – email me at the address below. We’ll discuss what you want, and how the coaching works. After that, provided we are both happy that you are committed, we will start working together.

“How have I changed, since the coaching started? I’m more confident to express myself. I’m more curious. I’m less fragile about trying things. I’m better at asking for feedback. I feel more connected” – Martin

“John-Paul spoke my language. He helped me get out of my own way. He made me even more confident – no mean feat! Best of all, JP inspired me enough to add life coaching as another string to my bow” – Michael

“JP is brilliant. The coaching helped me to find the strength to have important conversations and to make change happen in my life. It was also a lot of fun!” – Beatriz

“You’ve helped me to face some uncomfortable truths. In particular, you’ve helped me see my part in some dysfunctional family relationships, and I’ve started to alter my attitudes and change my behaviour. Since starting to work with you I see more clearly that such opportunities are available to us all” – Caroline

My time is precious and I only want to work with people who truly value the process. But nobody will be turned away for money reasons.

After we’ve discussed coaching, if it seems we’re a good match but you aren’t sure you can afford it, please don’t let that be a reason for missing out. If you want it enough, we can negotiate a fee that works for us both.
